Ramatou Orchestra is an eight-piece ensemble that was officially founded in spring 2023. Over time, the current line-up was formed with electric bass, keys, electric guitar, drums, percussion, baritone saxophone, alto saxophone and trombone.

Thanks to successful funding from the Initiative Musik, sold-out concerts and sufficient musical material, the band retired to the idyllic Glaswald Studios in Alpirsbach in October 2024. Under the direction of Patrick Steudle, the debut LP “RAMATOU” was recorded. It contains nine original compositions. The album was mixed and mastered in New York City by three time Grammy Award winning producer Jeremy Loucas.

The Ramatou Orchestra’s sound is powerful, playful and driving – full of surprises and never monotonous. On May 7th 2025, it will be available on vinyl, CD and all digital platforms.
